Description
A clear sacrificial lens that screws directly onto the lens of your PVS-14-type night vision device. It takes the hit so your own lens does not.
Tested with a shotgun: it stopped 7 birdshot pellets at 3 metres. The lens behind it (FC-M) remained undamaged.
After a hard impact, simply screw on a new one. It costs far less than a new objective lens.
Benefits
- Protects the objective or eyepiece lens against scratches, impacts, branches, BBs and force-on-force
- Screw-on design – no tools, no adapter
- Can be used on either the objective or the eyepiece
- Minimal impact on the image (approx. 92% light transmission)
Specifications
- Fits: PVS-14, THE-14, FC-M, FC-B, DTNVS, RNVG and similar devices with PVS-14 threads
- Does not fit: FC-Q, PVS-31, MUM-14
- Material: Polycarbonate
- Outer diameter: 53 mm
- Added thickness: 4.6 mm
- Weight: 5.6 g
- Light transmission: approx. 92%
- Mounting: Screw-on (uses the thread, so other screw-on accessories cannot be fitted at the same time)
- Clip-ons (FTO/COTI), compasses and Butler Creek covers can still be used
What's in the box
- 1× Sac Lens (binoculars need two)
The lens is designed as a sacrificial part – when it becomes scuffed or has taken an impact, replace it. It protects the night vision device’s lens, not your eyes.
