SECURITY gloves provide the protection you need, where you need it most!
SECURITY gloves are specially designed for security guards, police officers, prison officers, healthcare personnel and other personnel on duty who may find themselves in situations where they need to protect themselves against knife attacks. The gloves not only protect against knife injuries, but are also bite resistant.
The glove is fully lined with Bladenoma® – an ultra-high anti-cut material that provides extra protection for the hands where it is often needed most.
Practical details
- Elastic wrist strap with embossed ‘SECURITY’ logo and Velcro fastening
- Thumb and index finger are equipped with touch-sensitive material on both hands, so you can use your mobile phone without taking off your gloves
Bite protection
The glove has been tested by an approved European laboratory and has achieved level 2 for puncture and bite resistance.
Knife protection
The glove allows you to grip a knife blade without suffering serious injury to your hands. The glove is not puncture resistant.
Test results according to EN 388:2016 + A1:2018 (tested in a European laboratory)
- Abrasion resistance: Level 2
- Blade cut resistance: Level 5 (the test could not be completed as the material dulled the test blades)
- Tear resistance: Level 4
- Puncture resistance: Level 2
Level 5 is the highest achievable level for blade cut resistance according to EN 388:2016 + A1:2018.
Due to the fact that the cut test could not be completed according to the EN 388 standard, the gloves were tested according to a higher standard, EN ISO 13997:1999, in another laboratory. There, they achieved level B.
The glove is warm, light and comfortable enough to be worn for long periods of time.
