Snap caps, or dummy rounds, are fake cartridges that look like real ammunition. Snap caps are used for safe dry firing and trigger training – they protect the firing pin in the weapon from damage. Snap caps with laser activate a brief laser pulse when the trigger is released, giving you a visible hit point on a target that can be measured in an app. Snap caps allow you to practise precision and trigger control safely without loading real cartridges.
