TALON Grips solves a problem that cannot be perfected through training alone - a slippery grip. TALON Grips are custom-fitted to the shape of your firearm and provide superior control and faster, more accurate follow-up shots. Improved comfort and precision provide increased safety, confidence, and enjoyment both during training and in competitions.
Talon Grips come in 3 different textures: Granulate, Rubber, and PRO. The different textures have their own advantages and disadvantages. Here we provide a brief overview of the differences between the different textures so that you can choose the one that best suits your needs. We always have Talon Grips in stock for a variety of handgun types.
Remember that all Talon Grips have a limited lifespan. With regular use, a Talon Grip can last for several years, but it should be replaced when you notice wear and tear. The best way to identify wear and tear is to compare areas on the grip where there is the most and least friction during firearm handling.
Granulate
This Talon Grips texture provides an extremely good grip under all conditions. The surface is rough and can be compared to skateboard grip tape or sandpaper. Granulate is ideal for use in competitions with a lot of handling and movement, such as in dynamic shooting. Granulate also works very well for service use where secure firearm handling is needed in stressful and challenging situations. The Granulate texture provides an optimal grip on your firearm, even with sweaty and wet hands. One disadvantage of the Granulate texture is that it can be sticky to textiles, such as gloves, fabric holsters, and clothing.
- Provides the best grip under all conditions
- Sticky to textiles
- Aggressive to the skin
- Can be sanded down with 120G sandpaper before installation
Rubber
The Rubber texture is a textured material made of soft rubber. It does not stick to textiles, such as gloves, fabric holsters, or clothing. The surface is far less aggressive to the skin compared to Granulate, but at the same time provides a very good grip on your firearm. It is often preferred by shooters with softer hands and those who prefer shooting with gloves.
- Soft and comfortable material
- Does not stick to textiles
- Ideal for carrying in closed nylon holsters
- The best-selling Talon Grips material
PRO
The PRO material combines the best features of Granulate and Rubber: the surface is soft and comfortable against the skin, but at the same time provides an excellent grip for use in competitions and service. PRO materials also provide a good grip with sweaty hands and under wet conditions, and do not stick to textiles.
- Excellent grip in both wet and dry conditions
- Softer than Granulate
- Does not stick to textiles or closed nylon holsters
